LCEAA Origins and Purpose

The Lee County Educational Administrators Association (LCEAA) was formed in 1990 by a group of Lee County Administrators. The reason for forming an organization at that time was that the climate for Lee County administrators had become very uncomfortable. The individual administrators were very leery of commenting on issues for fear of reprisal from either the Superintendent or individual members of the School Board. They formed this Association and hired an Executive Director to improve the communication between the administrators and the Superintendent/School Board.

During the past years until the present, the climate for Administrators has swung back and forth from this low to very good. That is why the main function of the LCEAA remains today. The main purpose is for the LCEAA (Executive Director) to keep an open positive flow of communication with both the individual School Board members and the Superintendent. Some of the other purposes of the LCEAA are:

  • To support and enhance the effectiveness of Lee Co. educational administrators
  • To cultivate open communication throughout the educational community
  • To promote high professional educational standards To improve the quality of public education in Lee County
  • There are many benefits with membership in the LCEAA including:

  1. Provide an Executive Director to be on call at all times for individual members’ needs  and/or concerns
  2. Provide for an Attorney's fees for conflicts with local District · Provide money for In-service activities · Provide funds for college scholarships, with priority given to members' dependents
  3. Provide representation to the Superintendent/School Board
